Leadership Tendencies Inventory
Understanding Your Tendencies
Leaders with a growth mindset make time to understand how their natural and learned tendencies can either support them or get in the way of their effectiveness and success when leading others.
Your commitment to creatively manage your strengths and tendencies is a critical part of your maturity as a leader. This will also help you in our work together.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Read all 12 statements in each of the following three drop-down sections.
Choose ONLY THREE statements in each section that you feel represent your natural tendencies more often than not. This might be 6 times out of 10, or it may feel more like 9 or 10 times out of 10.
This does not mean you never ‘do’ the other statements. This is about identifying a natural inclination toward one way of being over another – without any judgement. It’s similar to being right- or left-handed.
It’s likely you’ll see yourself in more than three statements in each section – that’s normal. Trust yourself to choose three without overthinking it.
Be honest with yourself! DO NOT choose statements that represent what you WISH you did more.
