A word of caution, though...
Many social and environmental enterprises unknowingly fall under the spell of what I call the Mission Illusion: they assume that because they attract people who are passionate about the organization’s mission, and they all come together over shared values and purpose, their team members automatically know how to communicate and collaborate at the level needed to accomplish their big goals in the world.
A shared purpose and mission is NOT enough.
Even the most passionate and driven employees still need support in communicating effectively and working together respectfully and collaboratively.
